Canva for Canvas and So Much More!

Canva for Education is a free online graphic design platform that allows teachers to create visual content such as banners, logos, flyers, posters, presentations, brochures, newsletters, business cards and more. If you’d like to beautify your Canvas pages or just give your students access to these amazing tools for their own projects, don’t miss this session. During the first hour, you’ll learn how to create and organize designs. During the second hour, you can work on your own creations with help from teachers who have been there, done that.

Do you have no idea how to navigate Canvas? This session will help you to understand the BASICS of Canvas. We will be learning how to navigate Canvas and use the tools within Canvas to create a semester course. The session will model each tool and allow for the audience to practice each tool on their own with assistance. At the end of the session, Canvas will still be challenging but at least, the challenge will have been accepted!

  3. Tools necessary to facilitate effective and authentic discussion

Statistics and dramatic personal stories highlight crucial internet trends, such as sextortion, cyberbullying, online grooming, etc. If 135 minutes are allotted, I can include some disturbing recent drug trends among the young as well.
